H1Studio does Augmented Reality

We have been experimenting with Augmented Reality (via FLARToolkit) for several months. With the recent popularity of Augmented Reality applications such as Tonchidot’s Sekai Camera, GE’s SmartGrid and Mini Cooper’s Print Ad for Augmented Reality , we are now expanding our suite of services to include this.

We are doing some R&D work for Augmented Reality on Symbian OS, Windows Mobile and Iphone, hopefully launching in 2-3 months time.

At H1Studio, We Solve!

We would appreciate it if you could submit this survey after trying out these demos and we will send you our namecard which doubles as a handphone / iphone / ipod stand.

The stand* fits into any wallet and is made of high quality artcard, matt laminated with die-cut and crease lines for easy folding.

The free-mium is only valid in Singapore. If you are overseas or would like to purchase more, please send US$5 via Paypal.com and we will post 2 cards to you via airmail.

*H1Studio will not be held liable for any damage to equipment as a result of using the stand.

———

Step 1: Print this PDF file.

Step 2: Ensure your webcam is working.

Step 3: Be patient while it loads - Click “Allow” when you see the Camera Activation dialogue box.

Demo 1: The new Apple® iPod Shuffle™ - When Apple® released the new iPod Shuffle on 11th March, someone asked me, I wonder how small it really is. So we created a model of the 3rd Generation Shuffle™ in 3D*, animated a “un-tangling the cords” sequence and ported it over to Flash, so that you could easily gauge how tiny this product actually is, without having to go to the stores.

This can be applied to consumer products, think clothes, bags, mobile phones, notebooks, cameras etc.

Watch the demo below or try it out here.

*The 3D model is only a mockup / replica of the actual product, trademarked / copyrighted by Apple® Inc.

———

Demo 2: With Augmented Reality, you can showcase your product in 3D and allow users to interact with it. They can also zoom in, pan, and rotate around the object to get a closer look.

*The 3D model is trademarked / copyrighted by content creator.

———

Please submit this survey after trying out these demos. Thank you!

Zbrush course in Singapore for designers / non designers / 3D newbies / seasoned 3D folks

Hi all,

We are considering to run an intensive Zbrush course for beginners. Zbrush is one of the best software package for modelling freeform objects and has been used in many games etc.

Zbrush is easy to learn, you do NOT NEED any prior 3D modelling experience. If you can use a mouse, you can model in Zbrush.

You can find out more at http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/features/01_UI/ and view videos at http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=&search_query=zbrush+speed+modelling&aq=f

Training will be conducted by an experience Zbrush modeller, working with game companies and is also certified by Pixologic (creators of Zbrush).

At the moment, this is what we have come up with:

1. 4 days intensive course, held over 2 weekends (Sat and Sun), 7 hours each day = 28 hours

2. Freeflow Coffee / Tea and Water with Buffet lunch on all 4 days

3. Free Wifi / powerpoints at course venue which will be in the city.

There are NO specialised courses in Singapore offering Zbrush only training so this would be a great way to learn from a Zbrush expert.

Please help us with the simple survey and if you enter your details, we will contact you when we are ready to launch the course. (http://bit.ly/XYbyw)

At the same time, you will be entitled to a discount for helping us out.

Thanks
Shen
